About the Journal

EKSIGMA is a peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary scientific journal published by the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Luis Tello.

The journal disseminates original research articles, review articles, and scholarly essays that contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, technological innovation, academic development, and social well-being.

Aim and Scope

EKSIGMA promotes academic and professional exchange at national and international levels by publishing rigorous, relevant, ethical, and socially valuable research.

The journal welcomes contributions in the following areas:

  • Information and Communication Technologies: software development, software quality, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analysis, and information systems.
  • Engineering and Technology: renewable energy, industrial automation and control, robotics, the Internet of Things, green technologies, and sustainability.
  • Applied Sciences: environmental sciences, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering, advanced manufacturing, and innovative materials.
  • Education and Society: educational innovation, emerging technologies in education, inclusion, accessibility, public policy, and social development.
  • Management and Entrepreneurship: innovation management, sustainable productive development, technological entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.

EKSIGMA is intended for researchers, academics, professionals, postgraduate students, and decision-makers interested in the generation, application, and dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Peer Review

All manuscripts submitted to EKSIGMA undergo an initial editorial screening and, when appropriate, a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two external reviewers. Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ reports and the journal’s editorial standards.

Publication Frequency

EKSIGMA is published three times a year, according to the following schedule:

  • Issue 1: January–April
  • Issue 2: May–August
  • Issue 3: September–December

The journal publishes original and unpublished scholarly contributions and publishes a minimum of five research articles, review articles, or scholarly essays per year.

Open Access

EKSIGMA provides immediate and free access to all published content. Articles are available to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to without embargo periods or subscription fees.

EKSIGMA does not charge authors any submission fees, article processing charges, editorial fees, page fees, or publication fees.

Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Interoperability

EKSIGMA uses the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) to enable the interoperability and harvesting of its published metadata by information systems, repositories, and indexing services.
