About the Journal
EKSIGMA is an open-access digital scientific journal dedicated to the multidisciplinary dissemination of original research, reviews, and applied studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in various fields. Its mission is to promote academic and professional exchange through the publication of works characterized by methodological rigor, relevance, and social contribution.
The journal has an editorial board composed of national and international specialists and maintains a double-blind peer review process, ensuring the quality and academic integrity of the published articles. EKSIGMA adheres to principles of publishing ethics, fosters transparency in research, and supports the use of Creative Commons licenses to facilitate access to and reuse of knowledge.
Objective and Scope
EKSIGMA (Ecuadorian Journal of Scientific Knowledge) is an open-access scientific publication aimed at disseminating original research, reviews, and innovative practical applications in various fields of knowledge, with a particular emphasis on science, technology, engineering, education, and sustainable development.
The journal seeks to foster academic and professional exchange at the national and international levels, promoting quality, ethics, and transparency in research. Through a rigorous double-blind peer review process, EKSIGMA ensures the validity, relevance, and contribution of the published works, thus supporting the generation and reuse of knowledge for the benefit of society and sustainable development.
Publication Dates
EKSIGMA is a tri-annual journal that publishes original and unpublished articles, evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which at least two expert reviewers and members of the Editorial Board participate.
Each regular issue of EKSIGMA addresses a broad thematic approach within its areas of interest, accepting between 6 and 10 articles for publication. The average acceptance rate is highly selective, remaining below 20% in each call for papers.

Open Access Policy
EKSIGMA is an open-access publication with no temporal restrictions, which means that all its content is freely available to users and their institutions. They are entitled to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, as well as use them for any other lawful purpose, without requiring prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Self-Archiving Policy
