Today education has changed dramatically due to the fact that the teaching-learning process is mediated by the Internet, however, this represents a risk for the safety and health of children. This article aims to develop a plan to improve the use of the internet, based on Parental Control Management, aimed at children from 5th-7th grade in Basic General Education (EGB) of the “Guale” Educational Unit, Cantón Paján, Manabi. The mixed approach study used a survey which was validated by applying Cronbach's alpha test, this served to identify the context of the research, which showed that 70.5% of the parents did not use a control software parental, which showed a low knowledge about the use of the internet and the management of parental control. The execution of an improvement plan that involves raising awareness and learning will reduce the risk generated by the lack of parental control.
